Method
How does SpecialityMCQ decide what to show me?
Two things drive it. A session is built to your exam's blueprint, so the balance of domains matches the paper rather than your comfort zone.
On top of that, a per-subject rating moves as you answer, and the session tilts toward whichever subject is currently costing you marks. Anything you get wrong is scheduled to come back on a spacing curve, so you meet it again shortly before you would have forgotten it.
I only get twenty minutes between clinics. Is that enough?
That is the size the product is built around. 5 new questions plus whatever your review deck owes you is a normal day, and the deck is what makes short days add up rather than evaporate.
How are EMQ questions handled?
The themed option list sits beside the stem on desktop, or above it in a collapsible sheet on mobile, and never reflows between stems that share a theme — the same layout you meet in exams such as MRCOG Part 2 or MRCPsych's EMI sections.
What is the pass estimate, and how accurate is it?
It is an estimate built from your per-subject ability tracking, labelled as an estimate because that is what it is. It is not a prediction the college would recognise, and it carries no guarantee.

Which exams does SpecialityMCQ cover?
MRCS Part A, MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2, MRCPCH Foundation of Practice and Theory and Science, MRCPsych Paper A and Paper B, MRCEM Primary and MRCEM SBA. Each runs on the same review deck, weighted to that college's own blueprint. Individual exam guides are linked from the homepage and the footer.
Is SpecialityMCQ available on Android?
Yes, alongside the web app. Progress follows your account across devices.
Where the answers come from
Where do the explanations come from, and how is accuracy checked?
Every published question is evidence based: its answer is checked against a named clinical guideline, college syllabus, or standard reference text, and it carries that source together with the date the source was last read.
Questions are written and fact-checked with AI assistance against those sources. They are not individually signed off by a physician. This is stated in full in the Terms of service, under Accuracy.
Despite the checks, content is not guaranteed to be error-free. The in-product report button is the fastest way to flag a correction, and a flagged question is reviewed before it is shown again.
Is SpecialityMCQ affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of the royal colleges?
No. SpecialityMCQ is an independent revision tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by the Intercollegiate Committee for Basic Surgical Examinations, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, any of the surgical royal colleges, or any other exam authority. No question is presented as being from a past paper.
Does SpecialityMCQ guarantee I will pass?
No. SpecialityMCQ is a revision aid. It makes no pass-rate guarantee, and its content must never be used for clinical decisions or patient care.
Pricing and account
Is SpecialityMCQ free?
You get 5 new questions a day free, and the review deck, streaks and quests are free forever. Paid plans remove the daily cap and add 28-day accuracy trends. Full pricing is on the Pricing page.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Settings via the billing portal, or through Google Play on Android. Access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in the browser on any phone, and there is an Android app. Your progress follows your account, so you can answer on a hospital computer and review on your phone later.
